Cheltenham Community Centre offers a range of English courses that are accredited or pre-accredited from beginner to advanced level. All English language classes require potential students to attend an interview with our Adult Education Coordinator who will establish eligibility for funding and the appropriate class level.

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) provides free English language classes to migrants to help them settle and participate in the Australian community. Government changes have improved the AMEP:
- Migrants can now stay in the program longer and the previous 510 hour cap has been removed
- People who were previously not eligible (including previous students) may now be eligible
- Free Childcare is available while you are studying

Everyday Conversation - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes
This course is designed to build the English conversation and general speaking skills in a relaxed supportive environment. This English as an Additional Language (EAL) class offers a fun and friendly way to improve your everyday English listening and speaking skills. Small group discussions with different themes/topics each week including Australian idioms, slang and culture.

How do I enrol?
To enrol students must meet with the CCC Adult Education Coordinator. To arrange an appointment or make further enquiries about any of our classes please complete the form to the right or call us on 9583 0095. Please make sure you include details of the class or classes of interest, your query and the best method of contact. Completion of the Enrolment Application is required at this appointment. To ensure access to government funding please provide your green Medicare card, and if applying for a concession, an appropriate concession card. Your place in the class will be confirmed on payment of the appropriate course fees. Students with specific needs or disabilities

Within the capabilities of the organisation, we will endeavour to meet the additional needs of students, provided they meet the entry requirements of the course.
