We are currently seeking volunteers for our Community Coffee Time program. Experience in customer-based hospitality/catering industry is preferable but not essential as training can be provided, however a love of working with and communicating with a wide range of people is essential.
The Coffee Time Program operates four mornings a week from 10am to 12.30pm and includes making barista coffees, setting up, serving cake/biscuits, taking donation money, assisting customers, networking with customers, clearing tables, helping with packing away and cleaning the kitchen. We are looking for a computer literate person who can help our students with their enquiries. The candidate should be familiar with basics on Windows, Zoom and Facebook etc., and able to share their knowledge with the students.

Our School Holiday Activities are conducted Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) in the school holidays for primary school aged children. Each day is themed with fun, interactive activities, and children spend the day at the Centre from 8.30am – 4.30pm.
Volunteers help us in a wide range of activities including setting up, facilitating and packing up activities; creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for children and parents; providing a safe, caring and stimulating activity program; guiding children in respectful behaviour; liaising with families; and supporting a team of educators to care for and supervise children. Cheltenham Bolts Netball Club plays as a part of the Kingston Districts Netball Association and has teams in the NetSetGo, 11&u, 13&u, 15&u, and 18&u age groups. The Club allows children aged 8 years and above to play netball in an all-inclusive, welcoming environment. Teams train for 1 hour on one weekday each week and play a 40 minute game on Saturday mornings. Please click here for more information.

Police check
A current police check is required for people to volunteer at CCC. By entering our CVF number volunteers can get a police check for a reduced rate of $19.70 - the link to apply is through the Victorian Police. We request all volunteers who may come into contact with children at any time during their time in the Centre, obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC). A WWCC application is free of charge for volunteers, and once the check has been issued it will be valid for five years. You can apply here. Training
Training is offered to our volunteers in areas suited to them. We also offer student placements and believe on the job training is an excellent way to gain experience.
