The Certificate III in EAL (Access) will help students improve their English language skills through topics relating to their study and work goals such as education and employment in Australia.

Course current until 31 December, 2023

​Mondays and Thursdays 9am - 12pm

The course begins to develop learning strategies to:
  • negotiate and develop a learning plan
  • contribute to the formal learning environment, and
  • develop independent learning skills.

Entry level is EAL level 2 or ACSF level 2 equivalent across all macroskills.
successful completion
​Successful completion of 22486VIC Certificate III in EAL (Access) requires successful completion of 8 modules:
  • 1 core unit - Develop and document a learning plan and portfolio
  • 1 speaking and listening unit
  • 1 reading and writing unit
  • 2 language skills electives
  • 3 elective units

Outcomes for Certificate III in EAL (Access) are as follows:
  • Engage in casual conversations and straightforward spoken transactions
  • Give and respond to a range of straightforward information and instructions
  • Read and write routine communications and transactional texts
  • Develop and document a learning plan and portfolio
  • Read and write straightforward informational and instructional texts
  • Investigate issues in the Australian Environment
  • Investigate features of the Australian legal system

how do i enrol?
To enrol students must meet with the CCC Adult Education Coordinator.  To arrange an appointment or make further enquiries about any of our classes please complete the form to the right or call us on ​9583 0095. Please make sure you include details of the class or classes of interest, your query and the best method of contact.

Completion of the Enrolment Application is required at this appointment and must be accompanied by the additional documents listed here

The Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP) provides free English language tuition to eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants to help learn foundation English language and settlement skills to enable confident participation in Australian society. Within the capabilities of the organisation, we will endeavour to meet the additional needs of students provided they meet the entry requirements of the course.
