Keep ActiveThis low to moderate fitness level exercise class is suitable for people with well-managed chronic health conditions as it combines low impact fitness exercise, strength training, basic balance and stretching exercises. Keep active and strong to get more out of life!
Classes are $15 and can be claimed through private health insurance or an Aged Care Plan. This class requires an initial consultation with Physiotherapist, Annette, (also can be claimed) or a medical clearance letter from a GP. Fridays 10am - 10:50am $15 per class Call 9583 0095 to book. |
ACE (Active Chair-based Exercises) classACE is a fun 45 min chair-based strength and conditioning exercise session. All exercises can be modified to suit the needs of individual participants. Sessions involve use of resistance bands, light weights, chi balls and other equipment.
Tuesdays 12.30pm to 1.15pm Cost: $18 per session, plus an initial Physiotherapy assessment at a cost of $80. These fees may be eligible for a full or partial rebate through private health insurance, Medicare EPC team care arrangement or Home Care Package funding. STEADYmovesStay strong & steady to enjoy life! Do you want to remain independent and improve your balance and strength? Our STEADYmoves sessions are designed and led by a physiotherapist. Learn exercises that have been proven to reduce your risk of falls, meet new friends and get more out of life!
Fridays 11am-11.45am OR 11.45am - 12.30pm Cost: $80 per session for a 1 on 1 balance and falls prevention physiotherapy program. Sessions may include a small group of participants, but the ratio of participants to leaders will remain 1:1 to ensure the optimal level of effectiveness and safety. All participants require a STEADYphysio physiotherapy assessment. Strength & Balance ONLINEThese classes are easy to follow with minimal equipment, making use of a chair for body weight exercises (and a small Pilates ball or cushion, and light weights or water bottles, depending on what you have available at home)!
Sessions focus on strength and balance exercises so participants can continue to carry out their everyday activities. Nikki is qualified to offer modifications along the way. She sequences a range of gentle exercises and activities that are fun to do for everyone of all abilities. You can claim this class on your private health insurance. Zumba® GoldZumba® Gold is a lower-intensity version of the typical Zumba class and is designed to meet the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs of seniors but is suitable for all ages.

QigongThis class is especially designed for active seniors.
Qigong is a centuries-old system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation. It supports the body to return to balance and equilibrium, and gently creates strength, flexibility and balance through gentle flowing movements. Vinyasa YogaVinyasa is a gentle approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next using breath as an integral part of the movement.
There's a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow will be adapted to the class. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures, and no two classes are ever alike. Advanced YogaThis class is designed for those who have more than 12 months of regular yoga practice. It utilises a dynamic and energetic practice with challenging and creative poses to boost strength & flexibility.

Hatha Yoga BasicHatha Yoga Basic is a slower-paced yoga class that facilitates deep relaxation and breathing to restore, renew and heal the body. The practice teaches you how to generate inner calm through breathing, postures, and mental focus, allowing happiness to bubble up from the inside.

How do i enrol?
To enrol in any of our recreation courses, you can make a booking through the TryBooking links for each course. While finalising your booking, we will collect select information to make sure your needs are catered for over the course of the activity. You can alternatively make a booking on-site at our Customer Service, completing an Enrolment Application form that will collect the same information as if you had booked online. This data collection is required before class commencement. If applying for a concession, an appropriate concession card must be presented when paying course fees. Please note that completion of the form does not guarantee enrolment. If withdrawal from a course is made 7 days or more prior to commencement CCC will refund to the payee any course fees paid, less an administration fee of 25% of total fee. Fees cannot be refunded when the withdrawal is made with less than 7 days notice. In the event that a course has to be cancelled by CCC a full refund will be paid. If the cost of a course prevents enrolment, please discuss with Centre management. |
