Cheltenham Community Centre is governed by a volunteer Board of Governance made up of community members who bring a range of professional skills, experience and local knowledge. The Board provides strategic direction, financial oversight and governance to ensure the Centre continues to deliver high-quality programs and services that support connection, learning and wellbeing in our community.
Board members volunteer their time and expertise to support the long-term sustainability and impact of the Centre.

Who are we?
Cheltenham Community Centre (CCC) is an incorporated not for profit organisation. Our Vision Statement reads “We are an innovative community centre, known for providing learning, social opportunities, and support with a focus on wellbeing."
CCC has over 900 participants attending a wide variety of services and programs, including adult education, childcare, recreational programs for both adults and children and social support groups. Board members have the task of helping to steer the community centre to be true to our mission and vision, uphold our values, and focus on strategic priorities to achieve our goals. Strategic Plan

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
- Ability to consider the strategic and operational implications of organisational decisions.
- Experience in areas such as governance, finance, business, community development or a related field.
- Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to contribute constructively to Board discussions.
- An understanding of organisational risk management and accountability.
- Previous experience on a Board or Committee, or experience preparing reports or information for governance bodies, will be highly regarded.
