Gentle Exercise ​  ​

No matter your age or fitness level, gentle exercise can provide many benefits. This class uses carefully designed movements to deliver increased flexibility, mobility, and muscle strength in a social and comfortable setting.
Class run ON-SITE with Joan. 


Wednesday 11am - 12pm
Term 1 (10 February - 31 March, 8 weeks) $8 per class
Term 2 (21 Apr il– 23 June, 10 weeks) $8 per class

Strength & Balance  ONLINE
These classes are easy to follow with minimal equipment. Making use of a chair for body weight exercises (and a small Pilates ball or cushion, and light weights or water bottles, depending on what you have available at home!) 

Sessions focus on strength and balance exercises so participants can continue to carry out their everyday activities. Nikki is qualified to offer modifications along the way. She sequences a range of gentle exercises and activities that are fun to do for everyone of all abilities.

 ​Zumba® Gold Monday   ONLINE

Perfect for active older adults, but a class for all ages! If you love dancing all kinds of beats and moves, this is a great easy-to-flow choreography that focuses on balance and a range of motion and coordination.

Term 2 (19 April – 21 June, 8 weeks)

 ​Zumba® Gold Friday ​
​

Zumba Gold is a lower-intensity version of the typical Zumba class and was designed to meet the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs of seniors but it's suitable for all ages. 
​
​
​Friday 10am - 11am

Progressive Pilates    ​​

Mat Pilates is an adult class that promotes a feeling of physical and mental well being and develops inner physical awareness. Pilates is helpful in preventing and rehabilitating injuries, improving posture, and increasing flexibility, circulation and balance.  

Tuesday 7pm - 8pm

Line Dancing            

Do you want to learn something new? A great new class especially designed for active seniors, and anyone who would like to learn and practice basic line dancing. This class is a fun way to keep active. Suitable for beginners and regular dancers.​

Mindfulness ​   

The 8 weeks program is coming back ON-SITE in 2021. This class is for those who are interested in learning about mindfulness and developing a regular practice. Each week, we will introduce and build on key concepts, with guided practice and group discussions aimed at integrating mindfulness into our daily lives.

Reflection and Meditation

This program is conducted by long-standing volunteer of CCC, Carolyn, and encourages participants to reflect openly on their inner selves, and personally develop and grow through small group interaction facilitated by Carolyn.

Fermentation Workshop

At this workshop you will learn, why gut health is so important for overall health & wellbeing. The simple ways to improve your gut health and how to create pro-biotic rich fermented foods at home. Take home your own sauerkraut or kim-chi & a scoby to make kombucha. All ingredients provided.

Beeswax-free Wraps Workshop

This hands-on workshop teaches you how to create your own eco-friendly reusable food wrap to replace cling film. 
These wraps are beeswax free and vegan friendly, washable and compostable at the end of their long life.

How do I enrol?

To apply to enrol in any of our recreation courses, please complete the form provided below. Completion of the Enrolment Application form is required before class commencement. If applying for a concession, an appropriate concession card must be presented when paying course fees. Please note that completion of the form does not guarantee enrolment.

Your place in the class will be confirmed on payment of the appropriate course fees.

Refund Policy

If withdrawal from a course is made 7 days or more prior to commencement CCC will refund to the payee any course fees paid, less an administration fee of 25% of total fee.  Fees cannot be refunded when the withdrawal is made with less than 7 days notice. In the event that a course has to be cancelled by CCC a full refund will be paid.

If the cost of a course prevents enrolment, please discuss with Centre management.
